Comedian Chelsea Handler announced Thursday that she is releasing a documentary on Netflix about white privilege and that President Trump should watch it.

“My new documentary premieres on @Netflix in 2 days,” she tweeted. “It’s called ‘Hello Privilege, It’s Me Chelsea.’ It’s about me, Chelsea, exploring white privilege. And yes, everyone should watch it. Especially you, Mr. President.”

A description of the documentary says Ms. Handler will explore how white privilege impacts American culture and how she has benefited from it in her own life.

Handler travels around the country speaking with a wide range of people on the topic of race including fellow comedians Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish, and W. Kamau Bell, anti-racism writer and activist Tim Wise, a Republican women’s group in Orange County, CA, college students at an open mic night, and her former high school boyfriend in New Jersey,” Netflix said.

Ms. Handler, who has spoken out in the past about how she has benefitted in her career from her whiteness, is a frequent critic of Mr. Trump. In April, she revealed during HBO’s on “Real Time with Bill Maher” that the president’s election ultimately drove her to therapy because she suffered what she described as a “midlife identity crisis.”
