MAPLE SHADE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities on Monday were investigating a shooting that left a New Jersey woman dead and a Philadelphia man wounded in an apartment building.

Police responded to a report of a shooting at The Arbors apartment complex on Sunday afternoon, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Maple Shade Police Chief Christopher Fletcher said in a news release.

Officers found Kayla Winkler, 22, and Ramek Bass, 24, with gunshot wounds outside Winkler’s apartment.

Winkler died at Cooper University Medical Center in Camden. Bass was treated and released for a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

Winkler and Bass were acquaintances, authorities said.

The shooting remained under investigation and no arrests have been made.
