Hustler magazine’s official Christmas card to Republican Congress members this year included a cartoon depicting the assassination of President Trump.

“Just imagine if a conservative had distributed such a disgusting and hateful piece about a Democrat. I hope this will be investigated by the @secretservice,” Republican Rep. Mike Johnson tweeted Thursday after one of his staffers found the card in a stack of mail addressed to the congressman’s office.

The front of the card shows a man holding a smoking handgun and saying, “I just shot Donald Trump on Fifth Avenue, and no one arrested me.”

The inside of the card shows a group of Christmas revelers smiling and waving at the president’s bloody, lifeless body.

“Merry Christmas!” the card reads. “From all of us at Hustler.”

The card plays on Mr. Trump’s own controversial words during his 2016 campaign, when he bragged about the loyalty of his supporters.

“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK?” the president said at the time.

According to Politico’s Melanie Zanona, multiple Republican congressional offices received the card.

“The card was sent by Hustler and was our official holiday card for 2019,” the magazine told Ms. Zanona.
