“The View’s” Joy Behar said Tuesday that President Trump is a “disgusting racist” and that his supporters need to ask themselves “if they are racist, also.”

Her comments were in response to a testy exchange between Mr. Trump and CBS reporter Weijia Jiang, a Chinese-American, during a Monday press conference in which the president told Ms. Jiang to direct her question about the coronavirus and “global competition” to China.

“Don’t ask me, ask China, OK?” Mr. Trump told Ms. Jiang.

“Why are you saying that to me, specifically?” the reporter fired back.

Ms. Behar said Tuesday that the exchange was on-brand for Mr. Trump, whom she described as a virulent racist.

“You know what, Whoopi? We all know now that he’s a racist,” she said. “He’s a disgusting racist. We knew it when he attacked Mexicans. We knew it when he defended Charlottesville people, and we know it when he goes after China and he goes after a Chinese-American girl. He is a racist.

“He throws red meat to his base on a regular basis, and anybody who still supports this guy needs to look in the mirror and ask themselves if they are racist, also,” she continued. “That’s all I have to say about him. I’ve had enough of him.”

Fill-in host Ana Navarro countered that Mr. Trump is “an equal-opportunity jerk” who goes after anybody who challenges him, including white male reporters Jim Acosta and Brian Karem.
