TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Three suspects in a Tucson-area vehicle theft that turned into a kidnapping have been arrested, authorities said Thursday.

Pima County Sheriff’s officials said 43-year-old Floyd White, 27-year-old Anthony Almond and 32-year-old Joseluis Gomez have been booked into jail on suspicion of multiple felonies including kidnapping and aggravated assault.

It was unclear Thursday if any of the three men have a lawyer yet.

A man called 911 dispatchers about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday saying his Jeep was being stolen and he was in the car being kidnapped by three men.

Authorities say the call ended abruptly and dispatchers couldn’t get back in contact with the man.

Tucson police pulled over a vehicle with a similar description two hours later and reported finding evidence that other crimes might have happened in the car.

Detectives were led to where the kidnap victim was found.

He was transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. His name hasn’t been released.
