“The View” co-host Joy Behar apologized mid-show Friday morning after she repeatedly used the incorrect pronouns for Caitlyn Jenner.

“So first of all, let me apologize for my pronoun mixup,” Ms. Behar said after returning from a commercial break. “I think I just didn’t get enough sleep last night.

“I had no intention of mixing them up, and I tried to correct it immediately, but whatever, it just came out,” she added. “So, I’m sorry if anybody was upset by that.”

Ms. Behar faced blowback on social media after she repeatedly referred to Ms. Jenner, who transitioned to a woman in 2015, as “him.”

Freelance journalist Yashar Ali said Ms. Behar “misgendered” Ms. Jenner “at least” four times while discussing the news that the former Olympian and longtime Republican had officially announced her run for California governor, seeking to replace Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom in a likely recall election.
