OPINION:
The Senate’s proposed gun legislation clearly violates both the Second and Fourth amendments to the Constitution — and it will at best only marginally reduce crime and violence (“Senators break logjam on guns, school safety with bipartisan deal,” Web, June 12).
This is by design. The former will succeed in further restricting our rights, while the latter will keep the problem alive to ensure the need for future rounds of even more restrictive fiats and legislation.
Pretty clever, no?
