The Arthur M. Sackler Gallery is an Asian art museum in Washington, D.C. in the United States. It is one of nineteen museums under the wing of the Smithsonian Institution. Founded in 1982, the Gallery is named after Arthur M. Sackler, who donated approximately 1,000 objects and $4 million towards the building of the museum. Ninety-six percent of the museum is located underground, in the Quadrangle section of the Smithsonian, underneath the Enid A. Haupt Garden.
