Topic - Belgian Senate

The Senate (Dutch: ) is one of the two chambers of the bicameral Federal Parliament of Belgium, the other being the Chamber of Representatives. It is considered to be the "upper house" of the Federal Parliament. It has undergone several reforms in the past, and will soon be further changed as part of the sixth Belgian state reform agreed in 2011.If the reform is passed, it will no longer be directly elected starting with the 2014 elections, but instead composed of members of community and regional parliaments and co-opted members. It will be a chamber of the communities and regions and serve as a platform for discussion and reflection about matters between the different language communities. - Source: Wikipedia
