Reporter Nicole C. Wong of the San Jose Mercury News has turned in a very interesting article about Hewlett Packard and that firm’s desire for its IT consulting staff to work on-site. This should be of interest to Washington-area readers because of federal agency emphasis on telecommuting and remote teleworking sites. It would probably take some rather draconian agency heads to reverse federal telecommuting, I know, but the upsets voiced for and against telecommuting in the reader comments section of the Merc’s story (warning: there’s some salty language there), are an interesting collection of thoughts.
