A ‘must-have’ for winter gear

THE WASHINGTON TIMES

Hunters, winter fishermen, snowmobilers and cold-weather hikers will be happy to learn more about a terrific new high-tech product that is sure to keep you warm.

Polar Wrap, LLC, the company that innovated the Exchanger Mask series of wonderfully warming face wraps in which your own breath becomes a kind of mini-furnace to heat your entire head and neck, now has kicked it up a notch. It has introduced a balaclava head-and-face cover that is made from fleece and is equipped with a patented heat exchange module lined with a fabric that utilizes Scent Lok’s ClimaFlex technology.

In plain English, what you’ll have is super-warm headgear that sharply limits human odors, thanks to the patented Scent Lok feature. Deer hunters, in particular, will appreciate that.

The new headgear captures the scent of human breath and contains it, thus not alarming deer, while steadily delivering warm air to the user. Inside the balaclava, PolarWrap’s heat exchange module, picks up warm breath and circulates it (the temperature actually seems to increase) throughout the head, face and neck as long as the module area is placed in front of the mouth and nose. Should you want to “cool off” a bit, release the tension cord and pull the module area away from the nose and mouth.

What a wonderful product. It is available only in Mossy Oak Breakup camouflage and is available through the popular Cabela catalog. Visit the Web at polarwrap.com or call 800/967-9727.
