Correction

A column, Pruden on Politics, in Friday’s editions of The Times incorrectly identified the Los Angeles mayoral candidate whose former wife opposes his effort to cut her child-support payments. The actual candidate is former California Assembly Speaker Robert M. Hertzberg.
