Correction

The caption for a Page One photograph in some editions of The Washington Times yesterday incorrectly stated the number of D.C. Council members sworn in Sunday. There were six members sworn in to office.

A Monday article incorrectly reported the number of Democrats who won election to open Senate seats last year. Both Sen.-elect Ken Salazar of Colorado and Sen.-elect Barack Obama of Illinois were elected to open seats.
