Stephanie Sue Cain, a homemaker and Sunday school teacher, died June 19 of breast cancer at her home in Alexandria. She was 48.

Born Sept. 12, 1956, Mrs. Cain attended Harford Community College in Aberdeen, Md. She also briefly worked in the Drug Enforcement Administration when she was 17.

In 1981, she married Air Force Lt. Col. William Farlin Cain Jr.

Mrs. Cain worked with young people at many churches during her travels with her family, especially the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Alexandria.

She is survived by her husband; her sons, John Anthony Cain and William Farlin Cain III, both of Alexandria; her parents, John and Jean Connolly of Sterling, Va.; and a sister, Diane Domer of Laurel.

The family requests that memorials be sent to the breast cancer-related charity of the giver’s choice, or to the Lighthouse Baptist Church for donation to the Annabel de Vallejo orphanage in Guadalajara, Mexico.
