In yesterday’s editions of The Washington Times, the Associated Press erroneously reported the name of Viacom’s spinoff company. The new company will keep the Viacom Inc. name, while the remaining company will be called CBS Corp. Viacom will own a group of cable networks including MTV and VH1, as well as the Paramount movie studio and other assets. CBS will own the CBS and UPN networks, a group of television stations, as well as radio and outdoor advertising units.
