Home buyers longing to own a private estate within an easy drive of an appealing town will be tempted by Long Acres, a new community of 15 single-family homes on lots that average 3 acres.

WCI Renaissance Communities Inc. is offering five of its sophisticated home styles at Long Acres, three miles from Leesburg and a few miles from the Dulles Greenway for access to Reston, Tysons Corner and downtown Washington.

The homes at Long Acres, base-priced from $1,358,900 to $1,668,900, include a brick front and sides, with Hardiplank siding on the rear elevation. Buyers also can choose siding and stone or brick and stone facades. Each home includes a stone address monument with a gas lantern, a brick or flagstone stoop, professional landscaping and a three-car garage.

Inside, the homes feature an oak staircase with a carpet runner, oak railings throughout the home and Colonial-style base moldings and window and door trim, crown and chair-rail moldings and a ceiling medallion. Tray, barrel and coffered ceilings are found in many of the homes, and all include high ceilings on the main level, along with hardwood flooring in all first-floor rooms except the family room.

The homes include a masonry fireplace in the family room, French doors, ceramic tile flooring in all baths, a master bath with a tub and separate shower, and an upgraded kitchen with 42-inch raised-panel cabinets and granite counters.

The Grand Michelangelo model, base-priced from $1,498,900, features a two-story foyer with columns leading to the central rotunda, a dramatic space with a curving staircase and a 20-foot ceiling with a second-floor balcony overlooking the space.

The formal dining room and formal living room in the front of the house can be expanded with French doors leading into an optional sunroom.

The main level includes a library with an adjacent powder room, an optional wet bar and an optional box bay window. The corner family room includes a wide bay window across one wall, a fireplace, and the options of adding a beamed ceiling and a built-in entertainment center.

Across the rotunda from the family room are the breakfast area and keeping room, which include a bay window and additional windows, along with a breakfast bar off the kitchen. A fireplace can be added to the keeping room. The center-island kitchen has a walk-in pantry and doors leading to the butler’s pantry and to the mudroom, which has a closet and access to the garage and the laundry room. A separate bonus room can be added above the garage with a full bath and closets.

A circular landing on the second level provides access to the bedroom spaces. The master suite is accessed from a set of double doors off the landing. The bedroom has a coffered ceiling and can include a balcony, a fireplace, a wet bar and columns. A dressing room leads into the master sitting room with a balcony.
