Because of an editing error, an article on Friday’s briefing page incorrectly quoted Cato Institute official Ted Galen Carpenter regarding a theoretical confrontation with China. Mr. Carpenter said Japanese government officials “realized this would be a very, very serious business if [Japan] joined with the U.S. in a confrontation against” China.
