Two raids on terrorist bases in Diyala province and west of Baghdad this week netted 102 persons, including 25 “most wanted” suspected insurgent leaders, U.S. authorities announced yesterday. The 25 “most wanted” were designated as such by Iraqi security forces.
No U.S. or Iraqi troops were killed; one Iraqi soldier was wounded. The raids “were designed to capture key insurgents and disrupt multiple insurgent cell operations,” American Forces Press Service reported.
