So you want to be a movie critic?
Please send an e-mail to criticforaday@washingtontimes.com briefly explaining who you are and why you should be our critic for a day. Include in your e-mail your Oscar picks — both “heart says” (who you hope wins) and “head says” (who you expect to win) — in these Oscar categories: Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Director. Explain each pick with a pithy line.
In the March 3 Show section, we will publish the Oscar picks and photograph of the winning critic for a day, along with the choices of our two staff movie critics.
But wait … there’s more. Our critic for a day will win a seven-day all-expenses-paid trip to Punta Cana or Cancun, Mexico.
The deadline for entries is Feb. 24.
