As a result of incorrect information from the Associated Press, a Metropolitan “Briefly” item in some editions Friday, about a 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decision in a lawsuit over a jail inmate’s suicide, erroneously reported how two judges ruled. Visiting Judge Walter D. Kelley Jr. joined in the majority ruling dismissing the lawsuit against four deputy sheriffs. Judge Roger Gregory wrote the dissenting opinion.
