Last night at MCI Center:
BY THE NUMBERS
1985 Was the last time Georgetown beat the nation’s top-ranked team (St. John’s 85-69 on Feb. 27). No. 1 Duke comes to MCI Center on Saturday, giving the Hoyas a chance to end the two-decade drought.
PLAY OF THE GAME
The Hoyas’ highlight-play of the season thus far came midway through the second half with Georgetown clinging to a 39-38 lead. After a steal by D.J. Owens, the Hoyas slashed upcourt on a fastbreak. Owens found Brandon Bowman, and Bowman tossed a lob for Jeff Green that the sophomore forward caught one-handed and tomahawked home to give the Hoyas a much-need jolt of electricity.
