Art in bloom

Artomatic, an annual D.C.-area arts showcase, continues through May 20 with its 600 visual and performance artists filling about 90,000 square feet of space in the old U.S. Patent and Trademark Building (2121 Crystal Drive, Arlington). Today, the exhibition — which features bold cartoonlike paintings, elegant landscape photography, massive sculpture, artsy film, live fire arts, dance, poetry and musical performances — is open from noon until 10 p.m. Call 703/842-1849 or visit www.artomatic.org.
