Seen and Heard at Nationals Park

SEEN AND HEARD AT NATIONALS PARK

Austin Kearns again took batting practice Monday afternoon, and the injured right fielder appears close to getting back into game action.

Kearns, who has been out since May 22 with loose bone fragments in his right elbow, hopes to begin a rehab assignment with Class A Hagerstown on Thursday.

He would then move to Class AAA Columbus over the weekend and could be back in the Nationals' lineup a week later.
