GILBERTOLOGY … ON THE NBA DRAFT

I have things I like about both players, but whether it’s Rose (left) or Beasley, they’ve both gotta play like dynasty changers. It’ll be a little easier for Rose to be a dynasty changer because he’s got the ball in his hand. Beasley, if he’s a big man, he’s dependent on someone else getting him the ball.

You’ve gotta have a point guard who can get guys involved and get into the paint. He can do that.

I balled with Beasley in the summer. He can score, can connect on a jump shot, can juke. … I don’t know why he’s compared to (Denver Nuggets All-Star forward) Carmelo (Anthony). He’s a scorer. He’s a big body post up who can score; that’s Carmelo right there. Real quick jumpers. One’s just more mobile.

I watch some of these other young guards, (Jerryd) Bayless, O.J. (Mayo) and the kid from NBA games. You know how you look at somebody and you say they’re not a college player; they’re an NBA player. They’re NBA-type of guards, not college guards.

You’ll never know until they get here. The one that can shoot better. Whoever can shoot better will be the better one.

Either you go after a big man or a legit, backup (small forward) because most of our backup threes are young, but you can always get another young backup three who can get you buckets. If he’s not there, get a big man.
