ASSOCIATIONS, GOVERNMENT & NONPROFITS

• David A. Prewitt joined the IJET Transportation Board at IJET Intelligent Risk Systems, a Baltimore global intelligence and business resiliency company. Mr. Prewitt is the managing director of air safety and regulatory compliance for FedEx Express.

• Larry Koziarz was named director of training and Sranda Watkins was named administrative and membership services coordinator at the Community Action Partnership, a D.C.-based association helping low-income people. Mr. Koziarz previously worked with the Peace Corps in Albania and Ms. Watkins previously worked as a meeting planner at the Council of Chief State School Officers.

• Owen Rouse Jr. was named treasurer of Corporate Facility Advisors-CORFAC International, a Columbia, Md., commercial real estate services organization. Mr. Rouse is senior vice president of Manekin LLC, a Baltimore real estate company.

• Ben Aderson was named to lead public policy efforts on issues in the Southeast at AeA, a D.C. technology trade association. Mr. Aderson previously worked at a law fim in the District.

• Christopher P. Smith was selected for the Leadership Maryland Class of 2008. Leadership Maryland is designed to inform executives about the challenges facing the state of Maryland. Mr. Smith is a member of the management committee at Manekin LLC, Baltimore real estate company.

• Patricia Fritz was named associate chief of staff for the Government Printing Office's strategic environmental programs. She previously worked as a member of a western U.S. senator's staff.

HIGH TECHNOLOGY & TELECOMMUNICATIONS

• Sunil Bhargava was promoted to chief technology officer for Intellitactics Inc., a Reston security management company. Mr. Bhargava previously worked as vice president for product management.

• Mike Zarambahas been named president of the Arlington office of Altron Inc., a Charleston, S.C., provider of information technology management to the government. Mr. Zaramba was the chief financial officer and senior vice president of Stanley Inc., an Arlington consulting company.

LEGAL

• Frank G. Zarb Jr. has joined the D.C. office of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, a Chicago law firm, as a partner in its securities practice. Mr. Zarb previously served with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

• John Graubert joined Covington & Burling LLP, a D.C. law firm, as a partner. Mr. Graubert previously worked as principal deputy general counsel at the Federal Trade Commission.

• Brian A. Ratner, Jenny R. Yang and Daniel W. Sigelman were named partners at the D.C. law firm Cohen, Milstein, Hausfeld & Toll PLLC. Mr. Ratner previously worked as deputy head of the international practice group at the firm. Ms. Yang previously worked for the firm's civil rights and employment practice group. Mr. Sigelman worked in the international practice group of the firm.

• Dimitri J. Nionakiswas named partner at DLA Piper, a Baltimore law firm. Mr. Nionakis was a partner in the litigation group at Aiston & Bird LLP.
