In the past, I have choked back my outrage over Georgie Ann Geyer’s vitriolic abuses of President Bush. However, her Sunday Commentary column, “Time to bask in hope,” screams for reply. If Mrs. Geyer would inquire, research or care, she would discover that Mr. Bush is a fine gentleman and Laura Bush is a superb, gentle lady who brought eight years of real class to the White House.

Mrs. Geyer might not have noticed, but she has been safe from terrorist attacks for more than seven years. The obstructionist, destructive Congress has been highly instrumental in Mr. Bush’s “failed” policies. She blames Mr. Bush for the Fannie Mae-Freddie Mac debacle, knowing full well that the Democrats initiated it, supported it and fought back all efforts to regulate those agencies. Typical liberal attitude: Mess up and blame others. God save us from the “new electorate!”
