Moss flashes temper

Receiver Santana Moss lost his cool while being covered by Josh Wilson in the second quarter, throwing a punch at the former Maryland cornerback. Moss was penalized 15 yards.

“Just got carried away,” Moss said. “[It] really wasn’t nothing. Sometimes you get in the heat of the moment and the heat of the moment gets the best of you.”

Kelly catches pair

Rookie receiver Malcolm Kelly, active for just the third time in 11 games, caught a 5-yard pass to get Washington’s first touchdown drive started. The second-round draft pick from Oklahoma also made a 7-yard grab to help set up Shaun Suisham’s game-winning 22-yard field goal.

“I was out there almost the whole game,” said Kelly, who has been battling his knee and a lack of understanding of the offense. “It feels good to know they have so much confidence in me.”
