Lamar Smith, Texas Republican, who said, “For an administration that uses word games to downplay the threat of foreign terrorists, and regularly accuses others of promoting the ‘politics of fear,’ they’re awfully willing to paint law-abiding Americans, including war veterans, as ‘extremists.’ ”
