We have decided to end our partnership of 20 years. It’s been a big shock to the country music industry and our fans. We’re still pumping out the hits, after all. But it seems they wanted us to keep playing until we kicked the bucket.
We suppose it didn’t help that we wouldn’t give a real reason for our split. One of us might continue a big solo career, while the other concentrates on the quieter life of radio host. Is there any way we can explain just why we decided to go out when we’re still on top?

How embarrassing - just when we’re being watched by lots of young people at the Teen Choice Awards, we get embroiled in nude photo scandals.
OK, one of us should have known better - Vanessa had this happen to her before, a couple years ago. But we don’t expect when we pose nude that it’ll be splashed all over the Internet. Why would people want to do that? Don’t they know it really upsets us?
Are we stupid to think we can become huge Hollywood stars without having anyone - besides the guys who either take or receive the pictures - see us nude?
