Catch of the day

Second-year safety Kareem Moore made a tumbling interception during the morning practice of a pass that bounced off Antwaan Randle El’s hands after the veteran receiver slipped to the ground.

“El beat me outside, but I just had to stay with it,” Moore said. “When he looked back, I stuck my hand in there. Then me and him were just bop-bop-bop, and I caught it.”

Moore, who was displaced from the second unit by cornerback Fred Smoot for Thursday’s game, said he didn’t need to make a spectacular play to regain the coaches’ trust. Moore said he knew going into the game that he was going to play the entire second half alongside rookie free agent Lendy Holmes, and he was fine with that.

“I didn’t take it as disrespect,” Moore said.

No injury changes

For the second straight day, the only injured players were offensive tackle Scott Burley (quadriceps) and running back Anthony Alridge (toe).

Running back Clinton Portis and tackle Chris Samuels rested in the afternoon. Defensive linemen Phillip Daniels, Cornelius Griffin and Albert Haynesworth were held out during the team portion of the afternoon practice.

No Twitter zone

Between workouts Sunday, the Redskins told media members they were prohibited from posting updates on Twitter from the practice field.

The ban does not affect the blogger for the team’s official Web site nor members of ESPN 980, the radio station controlled by team owner Dan Snyder.
