RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A state panel has revised its report on the 2007 mass shootings at Virginia Tech, modifying accounts of how long it took the school to alert the campus.
The panel also added details about Seung-Hui Cho’s (sung-wee joh) troubling behavior and information from his mental-health records. Cho killed 32 before fatally shooting himself.
Gov. Timothy Kaine agreed to the revision, which was made public Friday, to reflect new information that emerged after the panel he appointed to investigate the slayings completed its first document. Victims’ parents had pressed for corrections, and wanted university officials and others to be held more accountable for their roles.
Virginia Tech spokesman Mark Owczarski didn’t immediately return a telephone message seeking comment Friday morning.
