UP NEXT
New York Giants at Washington Redskins
When: Monday, Dec. 21, 8:30 p.m.
Where: FedEx Field
TV/radio: ESPN, Ch. 20, ESPN 980
Outlook: Finally expanding on a fourth-quarter lead, the Redskins beat Oakland and snapped a three-game losing streak. The spotty Giants played Philadelphia on Sunday night in a crucial game for both teams. New York started 5-0 but lost five of six before beating Dallas last week. With middle linebacker Antonio Pierce out for the season and a weak pass rush, the defense has not played well. Running back Brandon Jacobs had yet to post a 100-yard game, and quarterback Eli Manning has been inconsistent while dealing with a foot injury.
