Now that you're done with your holiday shopping - you're done, right? - how about some free, live Christmas music?
If that's up your alley, the Washington National Cathedral - the world's sixth-largest cathedral - is offering a free holiday concert at 5:15 p.m. on Christmas Day.
The concert will feature Scott Dettra and Erik Suter performing festive Christmas organ music on the cathedral's 1938 organ, which has 189 ranks and 10,647 pipes.
The cathedral, which features more than 200 stained-glass windows and dozens of intricate gargoyles and other stonework, is at the intersection of Massachusetts and Wisconsin avenues Northwest. For more information, call 202/537-6200 or visit www.nationalcathedral.org.
