It was interesting reading the stories on the front page of The Washington Times on Tuesday. In one article, the headline was “Corruption charges paralyzing Pakistan.” In two other articles, the headlines read “Lawmakers’ OK of defense bill comes at a price” and “Democrats’ health care reform hopes soar.”

In all three articles, hefty payoffs were purported to have been, or actually were made, in order for the politicians to get what they want. What wasn’t clear initially is which country - the United States or Pakistan - has the worse case of governmental corruption.
