GREEN & GLOVER: Party in ‘Real’ time

We hear that a cast member of “Real World: DC,” the MTV reality show tracking the lives of young people living and working in the nation’s capital, will make a real-life appearance at a premiere party for the series this Wednesday.

Rocker Josh Colon, one of the would-be stars of the show, will be joined by his band, Wicked Liquid, at Tattoo Bar to meet and greet guests while they take in the first episode and toast the new year at the after-party.

According to the MTV Web site, 23-year-old Mr. Colon “is the quintessential ladies’ man. He says girls are his ‘kryptonite,’ which could prove problematic as he tries to stay faithful to his girlfriend back home.”

Apparently, during the filming, Mr. Colon was one of the many cast members spotted out and about the Real World House where he and the other cast members live.

From what we hear from MTV, who would want to leave the happy abode? After all, it boasts “shared bedrooms, a giant fish tank, a love sack, and just-for-fun Jacuzzi.”

The MTV Web site also reveals that the house has its own Oval Office. Still, cabin fever set in, and the “Real World” family took in the night life, which we will see when the show debuts at 10 p.m. this week.

“It stands to reason Josh would be at Tattoo since that was a regular party spot a few months ago during filming,” reads the Web site nightlifeprdc.com, which is promoting the party. “From controversy and obnoxious film crew making attempts to block local cameras and even blatant disrespect for our local news anchors, Real World DC premiere is all about the view and the party.”

And don’t forget the booze. According the party’s invite, Absolut vodka is a co-sponsor, and free drinks will be available during the VIP reception.

Apartment slashed

This just in from New York: Jon Gosselin’s apartment was ransacked by someone who slashed furniture, stole his TV and left a note pinned to his dresser with a butcher knife while he visited his children for Christmas, his lawyer said Sunday.

Associated Press reports that attorney Mark Jay Heller released a statement saying the reality-show star was “devastated” by the destruction he found when he returned Saturday from Pennsylvania.

Mr. Gosselin’s clothes, bed and other furniture were cut up, and a family-heirloom vase was shattered, Mr. Heller said, adding that the famous father’s TV, other electronics and his dishes were taken by a “very troubled and sick perpetrator.”

Mr. Heller wouldn’t disclose who signed the note or what it said, adding that police were examining it. Police also declined to comment.

The burglary marks the latest real-life drama for Mr. Gosselin, 32, who was half of the couple who rose to fame as the prolific parents of TLC’s “Jon & Kate Plus 8” before splitting up this year.
