LOCAL POWER RANKINGS: WHO'S GENERATING BUZZ IN THE D.C. AREA?
MIKE GREEN
The Capitals star will end up leading NHL defensemen in goals and has to be considered the favorite to win the Norris Trophy.
ANTAWN JAMISON
His name surfaced in a trade rumor, and he would be a great addition to any contender, but the Wizards can't afford to deal him.
JIM ZORN

DRE' BLY

TWT FIVE: WHAT THE REDSKINS NEED TO ADD
1. Pass rusher - The Jason Taylor experiment failed miserably, and he isn't expected to be retained. A young defensive end is the biggest priority.
2. Outside linebacker - Marcus Washington is no longer an every-down player, and Rocky McIntosh's knees aren't ever going to get better.
3. Offensive line - Tackles, guards, centers - anything to start planning for the future because each starter is already in his 30s.
4. Punt returner - Santana Moss should be used more often in this spot, but since that won't happen, somebody needs to challenge Antwaan Randle El.
5. Punter - Ryan Plackemeier has been waived, and now the Redskins are back to their familiar position - picking a guy off the scrap heap.
