


UPDATED:
All lanes have opened on US Route 15 after a fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer and another vehicle occurred in Frederick, MD.
Sgt. Rob Embly says one person died when the victim’s car made a left-hand turn in the northbound lanes into the path of a southbound tractor trailer. The tractor was carrying hazardous material related to x-ray machines, but no leaks occurred.
Icy roads have appeared to have no impact on the collision. A snow emergency plan was in effect when the accident occurred at about 7:45 a.m
As of 11:05 a.m. all southbound lanes which were closed are now open, Mr. Embly said.
