CHICAGO (AP) — A White House spokesman says the father of Michelle Obama is buried at the suburban Chicago cemetery where four workers are accused of digging up and dumping hundreds of bodies in a scheme to resell the burial plots.
Michelle Obama’s communications director Camille Johnston told the Chicago Tribune there is no indication that Fraser Robinson III’s grave was among those disturbed. She did not comment further.
Robinson worked as a pump operator for Chicago’s water department. He died in 1991 of complications from multiple sclerosis.
Michelle Obama’s mother, Marian Robinson, now lives in the White House with President Barack Obama, her daughter and two grandchildren.
