FREDERICK, Md. (AP) | A 16-year-old boy faces adult charges in the violent escape of 14 juvenile offenders from the state-run Victor Cullen Center near Sabillasville, Md. in May.

Georges G. Duk Jr. of Montgomery County had his trial set for late October during his appearance Monday in Frederick County Circuit Court.

He is charged with first-degree escape, second-degree assault, burglary, theft and malicious destruction of property stemming from the May 27 incident, in which six staff members were hurt.



Another juvenile offender who turned 18 two weeks before the incident was charged as an adult with second-degree escape.
