CARSON, Calif. — D.C. United came from two goals down to force a 2-2 draw at Major League Soccer leaders Chivas on Saturday, finding a way past the league’s toughest defense.
Goals from Maykel Galindo, in the 25th minute, and Eduardo Lillingston in the 43rd gave Chivas a 2-0 lead. Having conceded only three goals in nine previous games this season, the points looked in the keeping of the Los Angeles team.
However Luciano Emilio scored in the 77th minute when he re-directed a shot from Santino Quaranta off the left post and into the back of the net.
Quaranta then ripped a shot from 25 yards out in the 85th to equalize.
D.C. is unbeaten in six games, but fell into a tie for leadership of the Eastern Conference.
