• Sandeep Kharidhi was named analytics leader at Merkle Inc., a customer relationship marketing agency based in Columbia, Md., leaving Acxiom Corp., where he led the analytics team. At Merkle, Mr. Kharidhi will also oversee analytics and marketing strategy for clients.

ASSOCIATIONS, GOVERNMENT & NONPROFITS

• The American Society of Clinical Oncology Cancer Foundation appointed Nancy Riese Daly executive director of the Alexandria foundation. Ms. Daly was director of grants for the ASCO Cancer Foundation for two years.

• The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, based in Baltimore, elected its 2010 officers: Karl Lehmann as president, John Boote as vice president, Hayes Merkert as treasurer and Joe Bradley as secretary.

• Kathryn Shaw was named chief financial officer of the American Bar Association. Before joining the Chicago-based ABA, Ms. Shaw worked for Siemens Building Technologies as director of finance, director of professional services, director of customer engagement and director of business.

FINANCE

• Kevin Gillis Jr., Casey T. Bennington, Ben Anderson and Suzanne Stickel joined the Tysons Corner office of accounting firm Goodman & Co.Mr. Gillis and Mr. Bennington both interned at Goodman. Mr. Anderson earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Furman University in Virginia, while Ms. Stickel attended the University of Virginia’s College at Wise, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and was named the college’s first Goodman Fellow.

RETAIL & HOSPITALITY

• Santanna Salas was named pastry chef for the Bourbon Steak restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel in the District. Ms. Salas previously worked as a pastry chef at Seablue and as a baker at Bellagio, both in Las Vegas.

TECHNOLOGY & TELECOMMUNICATIONS

• J.D. Crouch II was named president of QinetiQ North America’s technology solutions group in McLean. Mr. Crouch was the company’s executive vice president for strategic development. Mr. Crouch has also held senior-level government positions within the Defense Department and served as U.S. ambassador to Romania.

REAL ESTATE

• Robben Moore joined Mason Dixon Funding Inc., a Rockville mortgage lender, as vice president and director of underwriting. Ms. Moore will be responsible for reviewing potential client files and determining the creditworthiness of borrowers.
