1. 1985 - Alabama 25, Auburn 23 - Down by two with only 37 seconds left on its own 12-yard line, Alabama managed to get to the Auburn 35, where kicker Van Tiffin nailed a 52-yard field goal as time expired.

2. 1995 - Alabama 24, Auburn 23 - The Crimson Tide needed to win to reach the SEC championship game and led early before giving up 23 unanswered points. Down 23-17, Alabama quarterback Freddie Kitchens led a late drive resulting in a game-winning touchdown.

3. 1964 - Alabama 21, Auburn 14 - In the first Iron Bowl to be broadcast nationally, young quarterback Joe Namath helped Bear Bryant win his second national championship at Alabama.

4. 1971 - Alabama 31, Auburn 7 - Both teams entered undefeated, with an Orange Bowl berth against Nebraska on the line. Auburn had Heisman Trophy winner Pat Sullivan, but Alabama had far more firepower.

5. 1997 - Auburn 18, Alabama 17 - All the Crimson Tide needed to do was get a first down to seal a win, but Auburn recovered a fumbled screen pass, setting up a game-winning 39-yard field goal with 21 seconds left.
