America’s Morning News

In case you didn’t tune into The Washington Times’ nationally syndicated radio show “America’s Morning News” - heard in Washington on WTNT-AM 570 and coast-to-coast via the Talk Radio Network - here’s what three of Tuesday’s guests told co-hosts Melanie Morgan and John McCaslin:

• AWR Hawkins, a U.S. history professor at West Texas A&M University and a columnist for Human Events and Pajamas Media: Mr. Hawkins said the ongoing squabble between President Obama and Fox News reminded him of the feud that raged between President Nixon and the New York Times over the newspaper’s unflattering coverage of the Vietnam War.

• Tony Blankley, nationally syndicated columnist and vice president of the Edelman public relations firm: Mr. Blankley described the Obama White House as being “hesitant” on three fronts: South Korean trade, Ukraine-Russia diplomacy and fighting the war in Afghanistan, which will “incur long-term irreversible economic, geopolitical or national security harm” to the United States.

• Lanny J. Davis, former special counsel to President Clinton: Mr. Davis cited a new Washington Post/ABC News poll showing that President Obama enjoys a popular approval rating much higher than the findings of other polls, which demonstrates that no single tracking poll is completely accurate.
