OPINION:
Sure, let’s give every lawmaker a Lexus (“A Lexus for every lawmaker,” Comment & Analysis, April 14). Let’s just make sure it’s a GX 460, the sport utility model that Toyota, Lexus’ manufacturer, pulled off the market because of safety concerns.
A great many GX 460s are going to be available in the near future - and Toyota probably would love to unload them. If a few lawmakers don’t survive the experiment, maybe the voters can find replacements who are less hungry for perks.
