NOBLESVILLE, IND. (AP) - Former Notre Dame and Indianapolis Colts quarterback Blair Kiel has been charged with drunken driving in suburban Indianapolis.
Noblesville police say the 48-year-old Kiel was stopped Saturday evening and that a breath test showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.17 percent, more than twice the legal limit for driving.
Court records didn’t list an attorney for Kiel on Monday, and no phone number was listed in his name.
Kiel was arrested last year at Victory Field in Indianapolis after a fight with his girlfriend and police officers. He was a starting quarterback at Notre Dame in the early 1980s. He played for Tampa Bay, Indianapolis and Green Bay in the NFL.
