It embarrasses me as a Harvard Law School graduate (class of 1959) that my fellow alumnus President Obama has bragged that terrorists will be afforded a fair trial, convicted and then given the death sentence.
How can he be so ignorant as not to realize it is a fundamental tenet of due process that you don’t announce the verdict and sentence before trial? Press Secretary Robert Gibbs made the same clownish gaffe (“GOP idea: Slash cash for Gitmo shutdown,” Page 1, Monday). What gives? Will they own up to their egregious sin? Will our president redeem the honor of one of the world’s greatest law schools?
