HOLLAND, Mich. (AP) — Michigan Republican congressional candidate and former NFL player Jay Riemersma says he’s going to hold a rally in support of a conservative group’s planned Super Bowl ad featuring college football star Tim Tebow.

Riemersma’s event is planned for 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, just before kickoff of the game, during which CBS is to air the Tebow ad.

The 30-second spot is expected to recount the story of Pam Tebow’s pregnancy in 1987. After getting sick during a mission trip to the Philippines, she ignored a recommendation by doctors to abort her child. She later gave birth to Tim, who won the Heisman Trophy at Florida.

Riemersma is one of four Republicans running for an open seat in the conservative 2nd District along Lake Michi
