It’s not necessary to connect complex dots in order to stop terrorists; simply do what Israel’s airline security system does.

Israel examines passengers closely and pays attention to their situations. When the Christmas Day bomber presented himself at the airport without a passport, without luggage, purchasing a one-way ticket with cash, any sensible security operative should have pulled him out of line. On an Israeli carrier, he never would have gotten close to the airplane. Now, how complicated was that?
