ANALYSIS/OPINION:

It’s becoming an embarrassment. President Obama, by his off-hand and ill-informed comments, has placed his size-13s squarely in his mouth.

We all remember Mr. Obama’s inflammatory remarks about the “stupid Boston police officers” who arrested one of the president’s friends. Well, its deja vu all over again. His comments that U.S. intelligence agencies should have put together the bits and pieces of the puzzle and blocked this nut case Nigerian, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, from attempting to blow up an American airliner were misguided and downright wrong (“Airliner suicide mission blessed by imam,” Page 1, Wednesday).

Given that this terrorist is the son of a wealthy banker and attended a posh English college, I would have expected Mr. Obama to have had arrested the man who prevented the explosion for assault.

Mr. Obama demonstrates again that he is so far in over his head in the job of president that he would have to look down to look up. Foreign intelligence and airport security regulations clearly refute Mr. Obama’s claims. With his Kenyan background, the president might have known a little about how things work in Africa. He surely has no clue as to how they work in this country.
