BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has announced that she will address the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans in April.

Palin, the 2008 vice presidential nominee, quit her job as governor last summer and wrote a best-selling biography. She is among several influential Republicans who’ve been invited to speak to GOP activists at the April 8-11 meeting.

Other invited speakers include commentators Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity and four men mentioned as potential 2012 presidential candidates: Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
